Why I Love Privates
So it’s that time of year. The Xmas tree is shedding needles, or being packed away. The shiny new toys are broken or discarded. We are staring down the barrel of yet another year. And we think - “this one will be different”…
A Toast to the Tricky Times
I'm not a fan of big parties. Too many people = not enough quality time. Give me a long brunch with a girlfriend any day, and I know my tank will be full. There's something sacred in being with one person, which is why I'm a big fan of one-to-one yoga sessions. Here’s why…
“There’s No Weekend God” Sri Brahmananda Sarasvati
How good are the good times? They fill our cup with joy and hope and love. They give us respite and room to breathe and delight in the little things. But they are not useful in helping us understand who we are…
Wake Up, Sleeping Beauty. The Prince is the Present Moment

Cos Breaking Up Is Hard to do...
Repeat after me: The asana practice is a practice in IMperfection. It is not a practice IN perfection. The asana practice is a practice in IMperfection. It is not a practice IN perfection.
Women in your 40s
We broke up. The great love of my life- Writing- and I broke up at the end of last year. . The doorways of creativity that had lived so vibrantly in my head always and ever, since I was a little girl, seemed to slam shut. Inaccessible. Like a petulant teenager shouting “go away” from her poster-clad bedroom. And so I did. Not sure if or when I would ever come back.
As we stare down the barrel of another year, a familiar dread kicks in. As Soul 2 Soul said, we're “Back to life, back to reality”... And our reality is the juggle.
